IABC QC

IABC QC Mentorship Program

Among the distinctive services and benefits IABC QC offers its members, the mentorship program has proven its worth by pairing communications professionals with experienced IABC QC members and providing them with a formal framework and tools to monitor each other's progress. Usually lasting one year, the program is open to all communications professionals, whatever their role or the type of organization they work for. It offers mentees a rare opportunity to develop the skills and attitudes required for their role, to benefit from fresh advice and perspectives on the opportunities and issues that occupy them, and even to make new contacts. As for the mentors, they have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, explore new perspectives, share their experience and professional background, and thus contribute to the profession and the training of the next generation. To participate in the program, mentees must have at least one year of professional communications experience, while mentors must have seven years. They must also be members of IABC QC, which enables them to benefit from all the advantages offered by the association in Quebec, as well as by IABC internationally, including access to bilingual training events, quality resources for identifying best practices in communications, and a vast network of contacts. To find out more and apply to be a mentee or mentor, communicators are invited to visit https://iabc.quebec/mentorship. They can also contact IABC QC at iabc.quebec@gmail.com.
